Sam Pallerla

Sam Pallerla, Ph.D., currently serves as Senior Director of Product Development and Manufacturing at IAVI, where responsibilities include functional leadership in the development and cGMP manufacturing of various biologics, particularly in HIV-1 envelope glycoprotein-based vaccines and SARS-CoV-2 antiviral proteins. Prior to IAVI, Sam held positions at KBI Biopharma as Director of CMC Monoclonal Antibody/Recombinant Protein Development and Director of Technology Transfer, focusing on process development and strategic planning. Sam's career also includes significant experience at Pfizer Inc. as Principal Process Engineer/Senior Manager, where contributions included leading the validation of Prevnar 13® serotypes. Educational credentials include a Ph.D. in Chemical and Biochemical Engineering from Auburn University and degrees from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, and Osmania University.
