Arnaud Schaeffer

Arnaud Schaeffer is a seasoned professional in aviation safety and flight operations, currently serving as Senior Principal in Safety, Flight Operations & Environment Consulting at the International Air Transport Association (IATA) since April 2019. In this role, Arnaud leads the consulting practice dedicated to aviation safety and environmental concerns, overseeing budgeted sales and managing consulting assignments. Prior to IATA, Arnaud held various leadership positions at Bureau Veritas Group from September 2009 to February 2019, culminating in a role as Head of Aviation and Director of the Aeronautics & Space Agency, where responsibilities included promoting aviation safety and developing market opportunities. Arnaud's career also includes a position as a trainee at the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), where involvement in operational evaluations and regulatory training enriched a solid technical background. Arnaud holds an Engineer's degree in Aeronautics from ENAC and a Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
