Christian Piaget is an experienced professional in the air cargo and logistics sector, currently serving as the Head of Cargo Border Management & Claims at the International Air Transport Association (IATA) since May 2013. In this role, Christian focuses on improving the flow of goods, enhancing trade, and strengthening security within air cargo supply chains. Christian has also held various positions within IATA, including Senior Manager and Manager of Cargo Customs and Claims, contributing to the development of customs security standards. Additionally, Christian has been an elected member of the IATA Pension Fund Council for a decade. Prior experience includes serving as the Brussels Representative for the World Shipping Council and leading legal affairs at the International Road Transport Union. Christian holds a Master’s degree in Law from the University of Lausanne and an International Air Law diploma from IATA Training.
