Hemant Mistry is a seasoned aviation professional currently serving as the Director of Net Zero Transition at the International Air Transport Association (IATA) since January 2022, focusing on the decarbonization of aviation. Mistry's extensive experience at IATA includes roles as Director of Global Airport Infrastructure and Fuel, as well as Director of Industry Charges, Fees and Taxation, and Assistant Director of Airport & ATC Charges, spanning from December 2004 to August 2021. Prior to IATA, Mistry was a Senior Associate and Head of the International Aviation Team at Booz Allen Hamilton and worked as an Air Traffic Engineer at NATS. Mistry holds a BEng. in Electrical & Electronic Engineering from The University of Manchester, earned between 1987 and 1991.
