Juan Carlos Egas serves as the Regional Head of People Performance and Development for the Americas Region at the International Air Transport Association (IATA) since August 2016. Prior to this role, Juan Carlos held various positions at GEODIS Freight Forwarding from September 2009 to July 2016, including Director of Human Resources for the Americas, Human Resources Director for the U.S., and Human Resources Manager for the U.S. Additionally, Juan Carlos worked as an Operations Manager at Nova Southeastern University from 2006 to August 2009 and was the Owner and CFO of GICANA from 2007 to 2008. Earlier experience includes roles at Plan International from 1997 to 2006, where responsibilities included Finance and Administrative Director in Senegal, Country Operations Manager in Brazil, and National Administrator. Academic qualifications include a Master of International Business Administration in Finance and Economics from Nova Southeastern University, an MBA Latu Senso in Management and Entrepreneurship from FGV - Fundação Getulio Vargas, and a degree in Business Engineering from Universidad de las Fuerzas Armadas - ESPE.
