Lara Maughan

Lara Maughan is an experienced aviation professional currently serving as the Area Manager for the UK and Ireland at the International Air Transport Association (IATA) since February 2024, where responsibilities include managing IATA's activities and advocating for the local airline industry. Previously, Lara held various roles at IATA, including Head of Worldwide Airport Slots, overseeing global airport slot coordination and policy development, and Manager of Worldwide Airport Slots, facilitating the application of airport slot allocation standards. Prior experience includes positions as an Airport Planning Consultant, member of the Heathrow Airport Consultative Committee, and airport planner at Halcrow. Lara holds a BSc in Air Transport Management from Loughborough University and has a background in sales at Quest Software.
