Lígia da Fonseca

Lígia da Fonseca has a diverse background in the aviation industry and government sector. Lígia started their career as an intern at the Directorate-General for Economic Activities in 2010. Lígia later became an Aviation and Space advisor at the Ministry for Economy from 2011 to 2014. Lígia then served as a Board Member, CFO, and CHRO at ANAC - Autoridade Nacional da Aviação Civil from 2014 to 2016. Lígia joined the International Air Transport Association (IATA) in 2017, where they held various roles such as Manager, Country Manager for Portugal, Senior Manager for Europe, and currently serves as the Head of Tax Policy.

Lígia da Fonseca completed a Licenciatura in European Studies at Faculdade de Letras da Universidade de Lisboa from 1999 to 2005. Lígia received training in Air Traffic Control at NAV Portugal in 2007-2008 and obtained an ATC Aerodrome Control Visual Rating. Later, they pursued a degree in Sustainable Management at the International Business Management Institute and completed a Strategy Execution Program at IMD in 2022. Additionally, they hold certifications in various fields, including Digital Marketing from Google in 2017 and NFT from LinkedIn Learning in 2021.
