Marie Owens Thomsen

Marie Owens Thomsen has a diverse work experience history. Marie began their career as a Trade Finance Manager at IKEA Group in 1984. Over the years, they held roles as an Economist/Strategist at HSBC, Chief Economist for France and VP at Merrill Lynch, and Founder/Manager at ALLURES, Sellerie & Conceil. More recently, they served as the Global Head of Investment Intelligence at Indosuez Wealth Management and the Head of Global Trends and Sustainability at Lombard Odier Group. Currently, they hold the position of Senior Vice President, Sustainability and Chief Economist at the International Air Transport Association.

Marie Owens Thomsen holds a PhD in International Economics from the Graduate Institute of International Studies in Geneva, Switzerland. Marie also completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Gothenburg.
