Alys Brown has extensive experience in conflict sensitivity and programme management, currently serving as a Conflict Sensitivity Advisor and previously holding senior roles related to programme development in Asia-MENA with International Alert since February 2019. Prior experience includes working as a Grants Manager at Global Witness and various positions at AMAR International Charitable Foundation, where responsibilities ranged from coordination with institutional donors to project assistance. Alys has also contributed to organizations such as Nonviolent Peaceforce, Minority Rights Group, and UNRWA, focusing on research, gender analysis, and project planning. Academic credentials include an MSc in Violence, Conflict and Development from SOAS University of London and a BA Honours in Social and Political Sciences from Emmanuel College, University of Cambridge.
