Melissa Cooper

Melissa Cooper is a seasoned legal assistant currently working at Maynard Nexsen PC since September 2021. With extensive experience in the legal field, Cooper previously held positions at Smith, Spires, Peddy, Hamilton & Coleman and Waldrep Stewart & Kendrick, where responsibilities included document preparation, file management, and electronic filing in state and federal courts. Cooper has been an active member of NALS...the association for legal professionals since 2002, serving as President of the Birmingham Chapter and President of AALS. Additionally, involvement with the International Association of Administrative Professionals includes serving as Vice President for the Alabama-Mississippi Division. Educational credentials consist of a Bachelor of Science in Human Resources Management from Faulkner University and a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from the University of South Alabama.
