Dr. Marie Charlotte Roques Bonnet

Dr. Marie Charlotte ROQUES BONNET has extensive experience in the field of data protection and privacy. Dr. Marie Charlotte is currently serving as a Full-time Senior Data Protection Legal Expert Advisor at NEOM. Dr. Marie Charlotte is also a Data Protection Engineering Board Member at the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) and a Member of the ENISA Ad Hoc Working Group on Data Protection Engineering at the European Union Agency for Cybersecurity.

Previously, Dr. ROQUES BONNET worked as the Project Lead PDCMP (Personal Data Choices Management Platform) at ID side from January 2019 to April 2022. Dr. Marie Charlotte also held the role of TECH FOR GOOD ENTREPRENEUR at ID side from February 2019 to April 2020.

Dr. ROQUES BONNET's experience also includes working as the Office of the Data Protection Officer - Individual Contributor at Meta from October 2021 to December 2021. Dr. Marie Charlotte served as the Head of EMEA Privacy & Security Policy at Amazon from April 2020 to September 2021, and as the Director of EMEA Privacy Policy at MICROSOFT EMEA from September 2014 to December 2018.

Additionally, they held the position of Women leading Privacy Board Member at IAPP from June 2015 to November 2018. Dr. Marie Charlotte also served as an Expert in the EU Com Data Protection Group on Cloud computing contracts at the European Commission from January 2013 to December 2014, and as a Legal IT Privacy Expert at CNIL - Commission Nationale de l'Informatique et des Libertés from January 2010 to September 2014.

Dr. Marie Charlotte ROQUES BONNET obtained their PhD in Public Law with a specialization in IT and Fundamental Rights from the Université Toulouse 1 Capitole. Dr. Marie Charlotte completed their doctoral studies from 2003 to 2008. Prior to this, they obtained a degree in International Marketing from the KEDGE Business School, where they studied from 1995 to 1998.
