J. Trevor Hughes

J. Trevor Hughes is the CEO and President of the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP), the largest privacy organization globally, with 80,000 members across over 150 countries. In addition to leadership at IAPP since September 2002, J. Trevor Hughes serves as an Adjunct Professor of Law at the University of Maine School of Law, teaching privacy law. Previous roles include Executive Director at the Email Sender and Provider Coalition and the Network Advertising Initiative, as well as Director of Privacy at Engage and Corporate Counsel at Unum. J. Trevor Hughes earned a Doctor of Law (JD) from the University of Maine School of Law and a BA in Political Science from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
