Susan Tierney M.S., M.Ed., ICE-CCP has an extensive work experience in various roles and organizations. Susan is currently serving as a Senior Certification Program Developer and Certification Exam Manager at the International Association of Privacy Professionals since 2017. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Editor (Science) and an Educational Contractor at Victory Productions in 2016. From 2013 to 2016, they worked at Measured Progress as a Product Manager and a Science Content Design and Development Specialist II. Susan also has experience as an Earth Science Instructor at Sante Fe Community College and P.K. Yonge Developmental Research School. Additionally, they worked as a Tutor at Sylvan Learning Centers and a Classroom Assistant at F.W. Buchholz High School. Susan also gained research and teaching experience at the University of Florida, where they worked as a Research Assistant and Teaching Assistant, focusing on Petrology, Geochemistry, and Tectonics, and collecting and analyzing samples of sea-floor basalt.

Susan Tierney holds a Master of Education (M.Ed.) degree in Science Education from the University of Florida, which they obtained from 2008 to 2009. Prior to that, they earned a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Geology from the same university, completing their studies from 2000 to 2005. Susan'sundergraduate education was completed at the University of Pittsburgh, where they attained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Geology, spanning from 1993 to 1998.

In addition to their academic degrees, Susan Tierney has obtained several certifications. These include the I.C.E. Exchange 14.5 Credit Hour Badge from the Institute for Credentialing Excellence, which they earned in October 2022.
