Chief Compliance Officer And Deputy General Counsel at International Automotive Components

Michael Qaqish has a diverse work experience, starting as a Law Clerk at Thomas M. Keranen & Associates, P.C. in 2005. Michael then interned at the Michigan Supreme Court for Chief Justice Clifford Taylor, conducting legal research and preparing memoranda on complex litigation matters.

In 2006, Qaqish worked as an In-House Attorney at Clear!Blue, providing legal recommendations for a public relations and marketing firm. Michael also served as a Legal Intern at Clear!Blue and conducted due diligence for mergers, acquisitions, and reorganizations.

From 2009 to 2010, Qaqish worked as an Attorney Fellow at the University of Maryland Center for Health & Homeland Security. Michael was responsible for developing disaster preparedness programs and negotiating agreements with private sector organizations.

Qaqish then joined The Bartech Group, serving as a Corporate Counsel from 2010 to 2014. In this role, they drafted and negotiated commercial and employment contracts and provided guidance on applicable laws.

Next, Qaqish worked at NSK Americas, Inc. as a Corporate Counsel from 2014 to 2016. Michael supported a tier one automotive supplier by providing legal advice, drafting and negotiating agreements, and conducting compliance training.

In 2016, Qaqish joined SYNCREON as a Corporate Counsel for a brief period, before joining the IAC Group in 2017. At IAC Group, they held various roles including Associate General Counsel, Vice President, Deputy General Counsel, and currently serves as the Chief Compliance Officer and Deputy General Counsel.

Michael Qaqish completed their high school education at Divine Child High School from 1997 to 2001. Michael then went on to graduate from Michigan State University in 2004 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Finance. Following this, from 2004 to 2007, they attended Wayne State University Law School and obtained a Juris Doctor degree in Law. Lastly, in 2008 and 2009, Michael Qaqish pursued further education at The George Washington University Law School, where they completed an LL.M. in International and Comparative Law.
