Cindy Hamen Farrar

Cindy Hamen Farrar, PhD, is an accomplished professional in education with extensive experience in developing and delivering professional learning programs. Currently serving as the Director of Professional Learning Design and Delivery at the International Baccalaureate since June 2019, Cindy previously held the position of Global Head of Professional Development Delivery within the same organization. Prior to this, a significant tenure at The Princeton Review/Tutor.com included roles as Senior Director of Academic Tutoring, where Cindy managed the operations and quality of over 3,000 tutors. At The College Board, responsibilities included overseeing program development and ensuring alignment with academic integrity for innovative educational products. Cindy began a career in education as a Biology Teacher with Fairfax County Public Schools. Academically, Cindy holds a PhD in Science Education from Teachers College, Columbia University, and additional degrees from the University of Virginia and Ohio University.
