Joe Smith

Joe Smith currently serves as the Assistant Head of Upper School and IB MYP Coordinator at Upper Canada College since August 2017. With extensive experience in the International Baccalaureate (IB) framework, Joe has held the position of MYP Design Chief Examiner, Author, and Consultant for the International Baccalaureate since September 2007. Previous roles include Head of MYP Design, IB CAS Coordinator, and Academic Studies Coordinator at Branksome Hall from September 2005 to August 2017, and I.T. Coordinator at Thai Chinese International School in Bangkok from August 2003 to June 2005. Joe began a teaching career with the Ottawa Carleton District School Board from September 2000 to June 2003. Education includes degrees from the University of Maine and Acadia University.
