Lorne Young

International Baccalaureate Teacher Trainer, Examiner And Consultant at International Baccalaureate

Lorne Young is an experienced educator and consultant with a diverse background in teaching, curriculum development, and teacher training. Currently serving as an IB Adjunct at the Centre for Executive and Professional Education at the University of Windsor Ontario since April 2016, Lorne designs and instructs professional learning courses. Lorne has co-created and leads workshops for the Mindfulness, Compassion and Happiness program aimed at fostering emotional intelligence and resilience in students and teachers. As an International Baccalaureate Teacher Trainer, Examiner, and Consultant since 1996, Lorne facilitates various professional development workshops while also operating Lorne Young International Education Consulting, focusing on curriculum design and teaching strategies. Additionally, Lorne has a history of teaching biology and environmental systems, including founding an Environmental Field Centre, and has held roles at institutions such as Upper Canada College and the Toronto French School. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Education and a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Biochemistry from the University of Toronto.
