Yassin Osman

Programme Lawyer at International Bar Association

Yassin Osman is a Programme Lawyer at the International Bar Association since September 2020. Previously, Yassin served as a Legal Intern at the UK Parliament, providing support to the APPG on Sudan and South Sudan from May 2023 to February 2024. Earlier experience includes a Legal Intern role at the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights from September 2020 to January 2021, and as a Human Rights Officer at the Denis Hurley Centre from June 2018 to August 2019, where responsibilities included addressing human rights abuses against the homeless community and drafting legal documents for reform. Yassin holds a Master of Laws in International Human Rights Law from the University of Galway (2019-2020) and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of KwaZulu-Natal (2015-2019).
