Bolin Z. is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in various capacities across notable organizations. Currently serving as a Legal Program Officer at International Bridges to Justice since 2021 and a Legal & Policy Advisor at Circular Influence since 2022, Bolin also contributes as a mentor for the Duke-UNICEF Innovation Accelerator. Additional roles include subject matter editor for the World Intermediary Liability Map at Stanford Law School and founder of Vadetecum. Bolin’s previous positions include leading IP Policy & Protection at Netflix and serving as Trust & Safety Counsel at YouTube. An accomplished legal scholar, Bolin holds multiple degrees including a Juris Doctor in Intellectual Property Law from the University of Arizona and a Master of Arts in International Development Policy from Duke University, complemented by various business and law qualifications from institutions such as Quantic School of Business and Technology and Cardozo School of Law.

International Bridges to Justice (IBJ)
International Bridges to Justice (IBJ) is dedicated to protecting the basic legal rights of ordinary citizens in developing countries. Specifically, IBJ works to guarantee all citizens the right to competent legal representation, the right to be protected from cruel and unusual punishment, and the right to a fair trial. IBJ’s approach involves partnering with governments, based on a more participatory and inclusive approach. We collaborate with State institutions in all of the countries where we work, offering insight from over 15 years of work and helping them to reform their legal systems from within. IBJ also works with the existing defender community which enables the programs to develop deep roots among the practitioners, thus developing a sustainable infrastructure for legal rights that is an inherent feature of a country’s judicial system.
