Gerdjan van Hagen

Gerdjan Van Hagen has a diverse range of work experience in various roles and industries. In their most recent position as a Senior DevOps Engineer at International Card Services since February 2021, they are responsible for overseeing the company's DevOps operations.

Prior to this, Gerdjan worked as a Software Engineer at Sogeti Nederland from July 2016 to February 2021. During their time there, they focused on software development projects.

From August 2014 to June 2016, Gerdjan was an iOS Developer at HomeWizard. As part of a Scrum team, they developed iOS apps for home automation devices, utilizing both direct connections and cloud technology.

Gerdjan also gained research and development experience as well as Scrum Master responsibilities at MediaLAB Amsterdam from February 2014 to July 2014. Gerdjan developed a digital tool aimed at helping individuals recovering from psychosis using cognitive behavioral therapy techniques.

Before that, Gerdjan co-founded a company called SamenOnline in September 2013, where they provided tablet and smartphone courses and managed customer relations. Gerdjan also developed the company's website.

Gerdjan began their career as a Suppoost at World Forum Theater in July 2011, where they ensured visitor compliance, managed incidents, and supervised ticketing.

Gerdjan also had an internship as an Android Developer at The IP Company from September 2012 to January 2014, where they worked on developing and improving Android apps for communication systems used by the Dutch Defense.

In addition, they worked as a Call Agent at SNT Nederland B.V. from October 2011 to August 2012, where they contacted existing KPN customers to ensure satisfaction and provide solutions to any issues. Gerdjan was also a member of the Denktank-team.

Gerdjan's earliest work experience was as a Versmedewerker at Digros from October 2007 to July 2011.

Gerdjan Van Hagen obtained a Bachelor's degree in Game Development - Game Technology from Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences. Gerdjan attended the university from 2009 to 2014. Prior to that, they completed their secondary education at HAVO, specializing in Natuur & Techniek, from 2004 to 2009. In addition to their academic education, Gerdjan also earned a certification in HBO Game Development from Hogeschool van Amsterdam | Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences in May 2015.
