Izzy Dow

Izzy Dow has a diverse range of work experience in the arts and cultural sector. They are currently working as an Exhibitions Project Manager at the International Center of Photography since May 2022. Prior to that, Izzy worked as a Consultant starting from September 2020, providing support to various cultural institutions and artists with administrative strategy, automation, project management, and event production. Some of the clients they supported include the American Academy of Arts and Letters, MIT's Global Architectural History and Teaching Collaborative, and Denniston Hill, among others.

From November 2020 to May 2021, Izzy worked as a Production Manager at Artists Space Exhibitions, where they coordinated digital talks, lectures, and performances, collaborating with staff, artists, performers, and speakers to bring a range of unique events to life. They also implemented live transcription to ensure accessibility.

Prior to that, Izzy served as a Production Assistant at The Museum of Modern Art from September 2019 to September 2020, where they supported the Exhibition Planning and Administration department in planning and producing performances for the museum's 2019 expansion. Some of the projects they worked on included works by Pope. L, Allora & Calzadilla, Hague Yang, David Tudor, and Adam Linder.

Izzy's earlier experience includes roles at the Whitney Museum of American Art, where they worked as an Assistant to Public Programs and Public Engagement from December 2017 to September 2019, a Weekend Family Programs Assistant from September 2017 to December 2018, and a Temporary Assistant to School and Educator Programs from August 2017 to November 2017. Additionally, they worked as a Family Programs staff member at the Whitney Museum from June 2016 to August 2016.

Prior to their time at the Whitney Museum, Izzy worked as a Family Programs staff member at the Art Institute of Chicago from January 2015 to May 2015.

Overall, Izzy Dow has gained experience in project management, event coordination, exhibition planning, administrative support, and public engagement through their various roles in the arts and cultural sector.

Izzy Dow's education history includes attending the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, where they obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with a focus on Art, Art History, and Art Education. They also studied abroad at the Burren College of Art, specializing in Fine and Studio Arts.

Additionally, Izzy has obtained certifications in Overdose Prevention and Response from the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, as well as Adult Mental Health First Aid USA from the National Council for Mental Wellbeing. These certifications were obtained in November 2022.
