Julien Simon

Julien Simon is a seasoned migration policy expert with extensive experience at the International Centre for Migration Policy Development (ICMPD), currently serving as the Head of the Mediterranean Region and Head of the Regional Office for the Mediterranean since July 2021. Previously, Julien Simon held the position of Regional Coordinator for the Mediterranean from December 2015 to June 2021 and served as Senior Programme Manager for a brief period in 2015. Julien Simon began at ICMPD in 2001 as a Programme Manager, contributing significantly over the years, including as Team Leader for EUROMED Migration III from October 2012 to July 2015. Julien Simon is noted for managing the Secretariat of the intergovernmental informal Dialogue on Mediterranean Transit Migration (MTM) and for developing the Interactive Map on Migration (i-Map).
