Ashfaq Ishaq is a distinguished economist and educator, currently serving as the founder and chair of the International Child Art Foundation since January 1997, where the organization fosters children's creativity and empathy through art. In addition to this role, Ashfaq has been the producer of the World Children's Festival since September 1999, held every four years at the National Mall in the United States. As the publisher and editor of ChildArt quarterly since January 1998, Ashfaq has inspired learners by promoting creativity and global competencies. Ashfaq's previous experience includes serving as president and CEO of USA International, Inc., and as an adjunct associate professor of economics at The George Washington University. Ashfaq's career began as an economist at The World Bank, where important contributions to industry projects were made. Ashfaq holds a Ph.D. in Economics from The George Washington University, along with several other advanced degrees in economics and public administration.
