Stefan Candea

Stefan Candea is an accomplished investigative journalist and coordinator with extensive experience in leading collaborative journalism initiatives. As a co-founder of the European Investigative Collaborations since January 2017, Stefan has focused on joint reporting on European issues. Stefan has been a member of the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists since 2006, contributing to significant projects like Offshore Leaks and Tobacco Underground. Other roles include co-founding Liquid Investigations and serving as director at the Centrul Român pentru Jurnalism de Investigație. With a solid academic background, Stefan holds a PhD in Journalism from the University of Westminster and was a Nieman Fellow at Harvard University. Previous positions also include correspondent for Reporters Without Borders and various leadership roles in developing platforms for investigative journalism in Eastern Europe.
