Mary Anne Chambers

Governor at International Development Research Centre

A former Member of Provincial Parliament, Mary Anne served as Minister of Training, Colleges and Universities, and Minister of Children and Youth Services in the Government of Ontario. She is also a former senior vice-president of Scotiabank.

A graduate of the University of Toronto, Mary Anne has received honorary doctorates from the University of Toronto, York University, Lakehead University, and the University of Guelph. She is also a recipient of the Order of Ontario.

Mary Anne is currently on the GraceKennedy Group’s Board of Directors. She has also served on the Board of Governors of the University of Guelph, the Governing Council of the University of Toronto, and on the boards of other not-for-profit organizations including Cuso International, the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health, the Project for the Advancement of Childhood Education, the United Way of Canada, United Way Toronto, YMCA Toronto, and the Rouge Valley Health System.
