Renee Larocque is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in global health and veterinary sciences. Currently serving as Program Leader for the Animal Health Team at the International Development Research Centre (IDRC) since August 2009, Renee has led significant initiatives such as the Innovative Veterinary Solutions for Antimicrobial Resistance (InnoVet-AMR) and the Livestock Vaccine Innovation Fund (LVIF), which aim to enhance livestock health and improve livelihoods for smallholder farmers. Previous roles include Senior Program Officer for multiple research initiatives in maternal and child health, health systems, and immunization in Africa. Renee's academic credentials include a PhD in Epidemiology and Biostatistics, a Master of Science in Parasitology, and a Bachelor of Science in Biology, all from McGill University and Université de Moncton.
