David is an Agricultural Consultant with AK Consultants, practicing in Tasmania.
After graduating in Agricultural Science, he spent eight years with the South Australian Department of Agriculture, and a similar period with the Tasmanian Department of Agriculture in Launceston. With both these organizations he was involved with research and extension projects, concerned mainly with soils and irrigation.
His consulting work is based on farm and rural resource management involving all aspects of farm business and land and water management in rural areas of Tasmania.
David attended his first IFMA Congress in Calgary in 1997 and is currently Chair of the Local Organising Committee for the 22nd Congress that will be held in Tasmania in 2019.
He joins IFMA Council as the Representative for the 22nd IFMA Congress, a 4-year term.
