Bruce Vivian

Director: Accountancy Education at IFAC

Bruce Vivian is a seasoned professional in accountancy education and public sector professionalization, currently serving as Principal of Accountancy Education at IFAC since July 2021. Prior to this role, Bruce held the position of Senior Manager for Professionalisation at AFROSAI-E from October 2016 to June 2021, where significant contributions were made towards the African Professionalisation Initiative, including stakeholder engagement and the development of online learning programs. Bruce's experience also includes roles at the Auditor-General of South Africa, where duties included technical learning and training management, as well as overseeing the trainee auditor and bursary schemes. Earlier career experiences include positions at Brackenhurst Methodist Church and PwC, providing a strong foundation in both accountancy and leadership. Educational credentials include a Master of Commerce in Accountancy from the University of the Witwatersrand and a Bachelor of Accountancy from the same institution.
