In-Ki Joo

President at IFAC

In-ki Joo has a significant amount of work experience in various roles and organizations. In-ki served as the Audit Committee Chair at Hanjin KAL Corp. starting in 2019. Prior to that, in 2018, they were the President of the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC). In-ki has also held the position of Professor Emeritus at Yonsei University since 1987. In terms of previous positions, they were the Audit Committee Chair at GS Engineering & Construction from 2016 to 2018, and at LG Electronics from 2007 to 2013. In-ki has also served as the President of the Confederation of Asian and Pacific Accountants in 2009-2011, as well as the President of the Korean Accounting Association in 2006-2007 and 1998-1999.

In-ki Joo has a strong educational background with a focus on business and accounting. In-ki attended Yonsei University from 1967 to 1971, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Economics. In 1975, they enrolled at NYU Stern School of Business and obtained their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in 1976. In-ki then pursued further studies at NYU Stern School of Business, where they completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Accounting from 1982 to 1986.
