Alison Freebairn

Alison Freebairn has over 15 years of experience in corporate communications and strategic advocacy within humanitarian and non-profit sectors, notably serving at the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) since January 2016 in various leadership roles, including Corporate Communications Lead and Senior Adviser in Global Relations. Prior experience includes serving as Speechwriter for the Secretary General and President of IFRC from September 2007 to July 2014, as well as editorial roles at the Balkans Investigative Reporting Network and the British Red Cross. Alison Freebairn holds a Master's degree in International Studies & Diplomacy from SOAS University of London, completed in 2015, with a focus on international security and soft power.
