Hanne M Mathisen

Hanne M Mathisen is a seasoned professional in humanitarian diplomacy and external relations, currently serving as the Head of Humanitarian Diplomacy and Regional Liaison for Asia and the Pacific at the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies since January 2023. Prior roles include Board Member at Ingeniører Uten Grenser Norge and the Norwegian Immigration Appeals Board, and Senior Advisor for Institutional Partnerships at the Norwegian Red Cross, where strategic partnership management and resource mobilization were key responsibilities. Hanne's extensive experience with the UNHCR spans over a decade in various leadership positions, including Senior Regional External Relations Officer and Head of Field Office. Hanne holds a Post-Graduate degree in Political Science - International Relations from the University of Oslo, alongside degrees in Economic History and French Language and Literature from the University of Lund and the University of Oslo, respectively.
