Jonathan Stone

Jonathan Stone is a seasoned expert in climate, environment, and resilience, currently serving as the Manager for Climate, Environment and Resilience at the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies since October 2023. Previously, Jonathan held various prestigious roles, including Centre of Excellence for Climate and Disaster Resilience at the United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction and Deputy Development Director and Climate Security Lead at the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office. With significant experience managing policy and strategic initiatives, Jonathan has contributed to global discussions on climate security and adaptation, including major summits like COP26. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Locally Led Action, Participation, Adaptation and Resilience from the University of East Anglia and multiple master's degrees in Environmental Social Science and Natural Hazards from the University of East Anglia and the University of Bristol.
