Miguel Aguirre

Miguel Aguirre is a seasoned communications professional with extensive experience in crisis communication, strategic planning, and community engagement within humanitarian and organizational contexts. Currently serving as a Communications Consultant for the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies since September 2019, Miguel has developed key communication strategies for various disaster management units. Prior to this, Miguel managed communications and community engagement efforts at the American Red Cross and acted as an Associate Fellow at Atlas Corps, representing Ecuador. With a strong background in digital communication and institutional relations from roles at Fundación Telefónica and BOA EC, Miguel has also been involved in event coordination and publications. Miguel holds a Master's degree from the University of Navarra and a Bachelor's degree in Organizational Communication from Pontificia Universidad Católica del Ecuador.
