Papa Cheikh Thiam

Papa Cheikh THIAM currently serves as the Regional Head of Corporate Services for the Americas at the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) since March 2019, overseeing critical functions such as finance, administration, human resources, and information technology to support humanitarian efforts. Prior to this role, THIAM held various positions within IFRC, including Regional Finance and Administration Manager, Finance Delegate for the Emergency Social Safety Net program, and Finance Controller for the Europe region, where responsibilities included financial management and oversight of multiple emergency appeals. THIAM's early career includes finance roles at organizations such as Satrec and Banque Senegalo-Tunisienne. THIAM holds a Master of Science in Project Management from The University of Salford and additional degrees in finance and accounting from ISM, ITECOM, and Lycée Maurice Delafosse.
