Berkis Patricia Perez

Berkis Patricia Perez serves as the Chief Ethics Officer at the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) since May 2019, managing the organization's ethics and anti-harassment program while ensuring compliance with the Code of Conduct. Previous roles include Senior Security Officer at IFAD, Security Coordination Officer at the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), and Regional Security Specialist for UN Women in Africa. Perez has extensive experience in security operations, having worked with the United Nations Department of Safety and Security (UNDSS) in various capacities, as well as a background in military leadership as an Air Force Lieutenant Colonel in the Dominican Republic. Educational credentials include a Master of Business Administration in Public Administration and a Bachelor's Degree in Law from Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra, along with specialized English language training.
