Chitra Deshpande

Chitra Deshpande is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in international development, currently serving as Lead Advisor for Results and Resources at the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) since February 2014. Previous roles at IFAD include Senior Evaluation Officer and Special Adviser to the Vice-President, alongside earlier positions in the Asia and the Pacific Division. Prior to IFAD, Chitra Deshpande worked as a Strategy and Planning Officer at the FAO and held various roles, including Gender Specialist and International Project Coordinator. Chitra Deshpande's educational background includes an MPhil and DPhil in Development Studies and Human Geography from the University of Oxford, as well as a B.A. and M.A. in History and Food Research from Stanford University.
