Guillaume Farret

Guillaume Farret is an experienced cybersecurity professional currently serving as the Chief Information Security Officer at the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) since April 2016. Prior to this role, Guillaume was the IT Security Manager at the Asian Development Bank, overseeing a team focused on information security across various regional offices. With a background in IT risk advisory at Ernst & Young, Guillaume specialized in security reviews, governance consulting, and disaster recovery audits for diverse clients including banks and government entities. Earlier experiences include roles as a Security Architect and Project Engineer at Safran, where Guillaume managed security infrastructure design for government projects, and developed components for digital signature verification in aeronautics. Educational qualifications include a Master’s degree in Advanced Computer Science from Aarhus University and an engineer degree from IIE, along with specialized cybersecurity training from the SANS Technology Institute.
