Helen Tedla Teshome is a seasoned financial professional with extensive experience in rural finance and agricultural development. Currently serving as a Rural Finance Specialist and Liaison Officer for the Platform for Agricultural Risk Management at the International Fund for Agricultural Development since February 2017, Helen provides technical and managerial support for the Rural Financial Intermediation Programme in Ethiopia. Previous roles include leading the Access to Finance team at Enterprise Partners Ethiopia and serving as a finance consultant for Mercy Corps and GIZ, where contributions focused on enhancing agricultural financing and regulatory frameworks. Helen's career also encompasses program coordination for KfW Development Bank, founding a US-based export/import management company, and holding various analytical and supervisory roles at the Federal Reserve System. Helen holds an M.A. in Economics with a concentration in International Finance and Development from Fordham University and a B.H. in Economics and Sociology from the University of London.
