Karen Gumbo has extensive experience in treasury and financial management, currently serving in the Treasury at the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) since July 2022, focusing on the transition to a new Treasury Management System and supporting ESG implementation. Prior roles include Treasury Officer at the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) and at the International Development Law Organization (IDLO), where investment management and cash flow forecasting were key responsibilities. Previously, positions at the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) involved financial data preparation and reconciliation, while earlier internships included contributions to rural financial policies at the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) and tax processing at the Zimbabwe Revenue Authority. Karen Gumbo holds a Bachelor of Science Honours Degree in Fiscal Studies and a Master of Science in Banking and Financial Economics from the National University of Science and Technology.
