Markus Jens Block

Markus Jens Block is an experienced professional with a background in operational policy and procurement. Currently serving as an Operational Policy and Results Specialist at the International Fund for Agricultural Development since October 2019, Markus also holds a position as a Procurement Consultant. Prior experience includes a role as a PhD Researcher at the European University Institute from September 2016 to October 2019, and an internship at AUDI AG where the focus was on long-term modeling and portfolio strategy. Earlier, Markus completed an internship at the Bundesministerium für Wirtschaft und Technologie, contributing to Germany's demography strategy. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Social and Political Science from the European University Institute and an MPhil in Economic and Social History from the University of Cambridge, complemented by a BA in Philosophy & Economics from the University of Bayreuth.
