Michael Hamp has extensive experience in rural finance and agricultural development, currently serving as the Lead Regional Technical Specialist for Rural Finance, Markets and Enterprises in Asia and the Pacific at the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) since November 2007. Prior to this role, Michael Hamp held the position of Senior Advisor in the Policy and Technical Advisory Division at IFAD from 2007 to October 2018 and also worked as a Programme Coordinator at GIZ from 1990 to 2007. With a PhD in agronomy, Michael Hamp combines technical expertise with a robust background in advising on rural finance strategies.
