Nirajan Khadka

Nirajan Khadka is an experienced professional in environmental and climate initiatives, currently serving as an Environment and Climate Officer at the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) since July 2017. In this role, Nirajan integrates environmental and climate interventions into projects across the Asia and Pacific Region and manages the climate finance portfolio. Previous positions include Environment, Climate, and Safeguards Specialist at IFAD, where contributions involved project design and implementation support, and independent consulting with a focus on tiger conservation efforts in Nepal. Nirajan's earlier experience includes research roles and forest management activities, coupled with educational qualifications in forestry and environmental science from reputable institutions in Denmark and Italy.
