Lara Funaro Cook

Lara Funaro Cook, DES, is an experienced multimedia professional with a comprehensive background in event management, content production, and media strategy. Currently serving as Virtual Events Manager at ISC2 since April 2020, Lara produces and executes a global webinar program and manages in-person event production for Security Congress. Prior experience includes roles as Multimedia Manager and Producer at Bisk Education, where Lara developed content for online courses and marketing, and as Freelance Media Producer/Writer for Press Productions, creating segments for the Special Olympics Florida television show. Lara's tenure at HSN spanned nearly two decades in various leadership roles, including Director of Presentation & Content, where strategic development of multi-platform content was a key focus. Earlier positions at WFLA-TV and WTSP-TV laid the foundation for expertise in live news programming and content creation. Lara holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications/Journalism from Indiana University Bloomington, with a minor in Business-Marketing, and is currently pursuing additional education at Florida Institute of Technology.
