Paul Kariuki is an experienced professional in the fields of water and agriculture systems, ecosystems monitoring, and monitoring and evaluation. Currently serving as the Regional Coordinator for Resilient Water & Agriculture Systems at the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA) since July 2020, Paul previously held the position of Regional Ecosystems Monitoring Specialist at the Lake Victoria Basin Commission/East African Community from November 2012 to November 2020. Earlier roles include working as an M&E Expert at The World Bank from September 2009 to November 2012, where Paul was responsible for the operationalization of a Web and GIS-based Monitoring and Evaluation System and project Management Information System, and serving as an M&E Advisor at the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) from January 2008 to October 2009. Paul holds a Master's degree in Environment and Development from Kenyatta University, earned between 2005 and 2008.
