Blake Hamilton

Blake Hamilton has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Starting in 2006, they worked as a Course Instructor at LuBlake Middle School where they taught high school students English and Geography. In 2007, they became a Foreign Trainer at Wall Street Institute, where they taught conversational and business English and assisted in client recruitment. In 2008, they worked as a Campaign Assistant for the Jill Schupp 2008 Campaign, where they organized volunteers, documented voter contact, and represented the candidate at forums.

In 2009, Hamilton joined the International Institute of St. Louis (IISTL) and held various positions. Blake initially served as a Job Developer, working with employers to recruit and refer workers from the refugee and immigrant community. In 2012, they became a Workforce Solutions Supervisor, overseeing a team and coordinating outreach efforts. In 2014, they transitioned to the role of a Workforce Solutions Program Manager, where they developed and audited programs, generated reports, and provided metrics related to employment. In 2016, they were promoted to Senior Manager of Workforce Solutions, where they continued developing and administering job skills training programs. Finally, in 2017, they were appointed as the Vice President of Programs, responsible for overseeing the development and execution of programming in various departments, maintaining grant records, and guiding the agency towards its goals.

Blake Hamilton received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology from the University of Missouri-Columbia, attending from 2000 to 2004. Prior to that, Blake attended Parkway North High School from 1996 to 2000. In addition to a formal education, they have obtained several certifications, including a Financial Management Essentials Certificate from NonprofitReady in November 2022, a PHR certification from SHRM in January 2014, a Conflict Resolution Skills for a Multiethnic Environment certification from the Ethnic Mediation Council of St. Louis in June 2010, and a TESOL certification from the Wall Street Institute in August 2007.
