Marci Merola is an experienced professional in advocacy and communications within the library and design sectors. Currently serving as the Director of Advocacy for the International Interior Design Association since March 2022, Marci previously held prominent roles at the American Library Association, including Director of the Office for Library Advocacy and PR Specialist in Advocacy from January 2001 to May 2019. Marci's early career includes freelance writing with a focus on technical and non-profit communications, as well as editorial positions at Summit Media Group and Cahners Publishing. Marci holds a Master's degree in Library and Information Science from Dominican University and has Bachelor's degrees in English and Journalism from Northern Illinois University.
