Kate Corkery GAICD has extensive work experience in various leadership and consulting roles. Kate is currently the Principal Consultant at Kate J Consulting since 2023. In the same year, they also became the President of the Oceania Judo Union. In 2018, they joined the International Judo Federation as the Vice President and Commissioner - Gender Equity Commission. Kate has also served as a Non-Executive Director in organizations such as Combat Institute of Australia and AUSactive starting from 2023 and 2019 respectively. Their earlier experience includes being a Group Fitness Instructor at Viva Leisure since 2005. In 2018, they worked at the Australian Sports Commission as the Deputy General Manager - Industry Capability and Director - Sport Governance & Strategy. In addition, they have worked as an Independent Consultant as a Governance and Change Management Consultant starting from 2018 until 2021. Furthermore, they have held leadership positions at the Judo Federation of Australia as the Chair of the Board of Directors from 2017 to 2021. Prior to that, they worked at YMCA Canberra as the Executive Officer and Executive Manager - Corporate Services from 2017 to 2018.

Kate Corkery GAICD has a diverse education history. Kate completed an Advanced Diploma of Fitness and Health Management at the Australian Institute of Fitness in 2004. Following that, they obtained a Bachelor of Applied Economics from the University of Canberra in 2006. Kate then pursued a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from the University of Canberra and graduated in 2008. Later, they obtained a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from The Australian National University in 2009. In 2011, they enrolled in Southern Cross University and achieved a Masters of International Sport Management in 2013, with a focus on International Sport and Administration. Furthermore, they hold a certification as a Registered Fitness Instructor and Group Fitness Instructor from Fitness Australia, which they obtained in March 2005.
