Juan Miguel Rivera

Juan Miguel Rivera currently serves as the Regional President for Latin America at the International Justice Mission, providing executive leadership and driving the implementation of programs aimed at protecting vulnerable populations from violence. Rivera has held various positions within the organization, including Regional Vice President for the Northern Triangle, Country Director for El Salvador, and Field Presence Director in El Salvador, where responsibilities included overseeing high-impact programs and developing sustainable solutions to combat violence. Prior to joining the International Justice Mission, Rivera worked as an independent consultant, provided safety and security management for the Peace Corps, and contributed to community development initiatives in roles at Acción por la Paz and Universidad Rafael Landívar. Rivera holds multiple advanced degrees, including a Master of Arts in Criminal Justice from Universidad de Salamanca and a Master of Arts in Social Development from UCAM Universidad Católica San Antonio de Murcia.
