Charis Reid

Charis Reid is a seasoned professional in social protection and development, currently serving as a Regional Social Protection, Humanitarian-Development-Peace Nexus, and Climate Change Officer with the International Labour Organization since April 2022. Reid has a strong background in managing large-scale social protection programs, evidenced by previous roles such as Project Manager for the European Union Delegation to Bangladesh, where collaboration on a €5 million initiative was key to enhancing the National Social Security Strategy. Experience includes project management in governance and WASH reforms in Fiji, and contributions to multiple international development projects across Liberia and Bangladesh. Educational qualifications include a Master of Arts in Development Studies from the Institute of Development Studies and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Economics from The London School of Economics and Political Science.
