Zuhair Ahmed Kowshik is currently a Youth Advisor for the Green Jobs for Youth Pact at the International Labour Organization and serves as the Global Coordinator of the Children and Youth Major Group for the UN Environment Programme. In these roles, Zuhair advises on strategic directions, promotes innovative technologies to mitigate climate change effects, and coordinates youth participation in significant UNEP assemblies. Additionally, Zuhair is the Asia Pacific Regional Facilitator for the Children and Youth Major Group and manages campaigns as the Bangladesh Manager for Earth Day Network. With a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Disaster Management from the University of Dhaka, Zuhair has a foundational background in disaster management through previous internships at the Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief and CriticaLink.
